Whether you're going from one to two bubbas, or two kids to more, come up for air with the whole brood in tow.
One of our awesome &Breathe trainers will be your fitness guru for the week, helping mums and dads get back into exercise or upping your game. Sometimes increasing your gaggle can mean exercise, and you time, falls by the wayside, we're here to kickstart your routine and help you carve out some time for you. If YOU feel better, you'll be a better parent too.
Your PT tailors your exercise throughout the week to your abilities, fitness level and birth experience; classes are mix of cardio, strength training and toning classes as well as stretching and will be indoors and outdoors. Toddler+ mums and dads get two exercise sessions per day as well as a personal training session during the week. And to make things even easier, we take the little ones during your fitness classes so you can exercise in peace!
We’ll show you how you can eat healthily but with delicious food, and more importantly how you can keep on track when you get home, with recipe ideas, and shopping lists. We realise you’re on holiday too, so there is room for a glass of wine and a slice or three of cheese - it would be rude not to in France!
Breakfasts are healthy and plentiful to set you up for the day. Lunches are light but filling, such as hearty salads or a healthy soup to keep you going until dinner time. Afternoon snacks are available before the second fitness classes of the day. Dinners are healthy but rewarding, with a taste of France, and inspirational menus that you can re-create at home.
Tea, coffee, and other soft drinks available to help yourself at all times. Plentiful table wine included and other alcoholic drinks available at the honesty bar.
It’s not often that a group of parents come together in a totally relaxed setting. We hope that you’ll make friends with others whose families are growing, share your stories of going from one to two (or more) little ones, and come up for air together. We certainly learnt a few things and were able to help others with our own experiences on our first retreats.
We're not going to lie: you can really lose sight of who you are when you have a baby. Clio really struggled with it in her first year as a mum, and we know exactly which resources she found most helpful. We arm you with a list of sites, advisors, blogs and forums that might just help ease your transition into this whole mum&dad thing.
Our wonderful masseuse will see away your aches with her massage expertise. We include a relaxing 60-minute massage for each adult during your stay, which will thoroughly de-stress you. If that’s not enough, you can book as many further sessions as you like and we’ll organise payment on site.
Childcare is available throughout the week during your fitness sessions and more is available if you want to pop out for trips, lunches or dinners to really reconnect with your partner. We'll organise age appropriate activities and games to keep the littles ones occupied during childcare, and when they're with you, there are plenty of games and toys at the Manoir, as well as outdoor space to run around and build dens in, and explore.
Maternity nurse & Baby Coach
We work with a selection of hugely experienced maternity nurses vetted by the very best agencies in the UK. We also work with a wonderful sleep, weaning, and potty training coach who can offer in-depth advice and reassurance for you if your children and going through tricky phases. Either organise an in person visit (bookable in advance) or chat on the phone.
