Your Health and Wellbeing Checklist

No matter how postnatal you are (once postnatal, always postnatal in &Breathe’s book) there are ways and means of getting the help you need.

In the first flush of new motherhood, the 6-8 week GP check up is a beacon of hope where you think you can ask for help with your mental and physical issues. Sadly this is not always the case and we’re left wondering where we’re supposed to turn for healing.

So this checklist is designed to help prepare you for your check up, giving you information and a boost to help advocate for yourself.

It’s also a great checklist for later in motherhood if you didn’t get a chance to deal with your issues at the time, it’s never too late to make a difference.

Have a read, learn what to ask and how to advocate for yourself, and be pointed in the right direction. Feel free to print it out, make notes on it and take it with you when you go to your appointment.
